Facebook has nearly 2 billion users and more than 1 billion people use Groups and more that 100 million people are members. In an attempt to turn Facebook into a place where people hang out together, a lot, Zuckerberg rolled out new features to support communities.
These features include:
Group Insights: Group admins will now be able to see metrics that include growth, engagement and membership details which will also include number of posts made and times the members are engaged.
Membership request filtering: Accepting membership request has been a difficult task for Group admins. Now the feature added will sort and filter membership requests based on gender and location so that the Group admin can accept or decline all at once.
Removed member clean-up: Group admins can now remove a person, posts and comments that are considered to be not safe for the community.
Scheduled posts: Group admins and moderators can now schedule posts specifying the required day and time.
